The Context

Winter Reloaded

With the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games on the horizon, Team USA partnered with MATTE to reintroduce its athletes to the world. The moment - 100 days out - was more than a countdown. It was a reset to what’s coming. “One for All” wasn’t just a tagline; it was a call to unify 50 athletes across 17 winter sports into a singular narrative. The ask: to meet fans before the Games begin, and bring Team USA’s spirit into every household, every feed, and every screen.

The Approach

Now's our time. Let's go

From creative concepting through set design, production, and post, MATTE handled the campaign end-to-end, crafting a unified world where cinematic storytelling met social fluency. The four-day shoot unfolded on a Los Angeles soundstage, spanning three purpose-built environments for video, photo, and vertical-first assets. Over 50 Olympians and Paralympians moved through the sets and were captured across formats designed to resonate on broadcast, in-feed, and in everything in between. The output: over 1,000 deliverables including a hero TVC, a foundational anthem film, 200+ custom social videos, and hundreds of stills.

The Outcome

Team USA is a force of nature

Timed to mark the 100-days-out milestone, “One for All” launched across NBC, YouTube, and social media - inviting fans into the emotional prelude of Milan-Cortina 2026. The goal wasn't simply visibility, but rather, resonance. The campaign framed these athletes not only as competitors, but as cultural figures with presence and purpose. 50 athletes. Five days of creation. One force of nature: united, cinematic, unforgettable.

Anthem Film

Brought to you by Team USA's 50 winter athletes, this anthem film is inspired by those who paved the way before us – the voices that told us go, to push forward, and to carry the torch. Serving as the creative anchor of the campaign, the film launch the road to the Milan-Cortina 2026 games across TV, social and OLV.

Cut into 60, 30, and 15 second iterations, the anthem was designed to scale across platforms while maintaining a singular, rallying message – uniting athletes and audiences alike and setting the tone for the Games to come.

Social Videos

MATTE developed and produced 380 custom social-first videos across four distinct content series: Fireside Chat, The Cold Seat, Play Thin Ice With Me, and Mantras. Each series featured bespoke production design and builds, individual and athlete-specific scripting, and platform native editors tailored for distribution across social channels.

Designed to go beyond performance highlights, these videos revealed athletes' personalities, offered deeper access into their worlds, and sustained audience engagement in the lead-up to the Games. Collectively, the content ecosystem built familiarity, momentum and emotion connection with Team USA athletes over time – keeping them top of mind well before competition began.

Portrait Photography

Team USA winter athletes are heroes in their own right. To honor their strength, resilience and individuality, MATTE partnered with Marcus Smith, a renowned portrait photographer to capture the spirit of each athlete.

Through thousands of meticulously captured and retouched images, the photography moves beyond traditional sports portraiture – revealing the essence, humanity and power of these athletes, and creating an iconic visual system that celebrates who they are beyond the ice.
