Video Editor and Motion Designer (Contract)

MATTE is looking to hire a full time video editor (Adobe Premiere) who is also proficient in After Effects, able to swing between a Motion Designer role and a Video Editor role as needed. Our work is diverse, spanning jewelry and fashion campaigns to live music event recaps, from short documentary profiles to purely animation-driven work. All of our work features post production as a visible creative element, rather than an invisible component– so we are looking for similar portfolios in applicants. The Video Editor and Motion designer is a very collaborative role, working closely with other editors, the Lead Motion Designer, MATTE's graphic design department, and internal creative leads. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

- Demonstrate a developed skill level in digital video editing for short form high-energy commercial content
- Work closely with post-production supervisors and the Lead Animator to support the creation of 2D motion graphics and animation for short form commercial video content
- Research and offer creative suggestions based on client and internal creative briefs 

Qualifications:

MATTE is looking for a talented junior to mid-level Copywriter who is willing to roll up their sleeves and craft the best copy in a succinct amount of words. You will primarily work on a high-end jewelry client of ours, with the opportunity to support across a range of other agency projects.

Working cross functionally, you will take ownership of developing copy for social content, campaign headlines, creative presentations and brand books. You should be results driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

- Write thoughtful copy that evokes the client’s tone of voice and style – meeting brand expectations and word limitations based on the channel. 
- Able to work with multiple clients – adjusting to each specific brand and driving consistency across all platforms

- Collaborate and support partners, creative directors, sr designers and strategists to create compelling designs which support brand strategies and project objectives
- Conceptualize and design from concept to completion projects for commercial clients and MATTE brand projects. 
- Design of Branding, Editorial, Newsletters, Packaging, Print and Web
- Support in preparation of materials for client presentations and new business opportunities
- Work across multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining a standard of quality and consistency
- Act as mentor to and work with junior designers and interns
- Work seamlessly with other departments on multi-disciplinary projects, especially with project managers in helping define deliverables, timings and meeting client deadlines

Qualifications: 

- 5+ years of creative and conceptual design experience in a branding, design or similar environments
- Multidisciplinary designer with strong knowledge of typography, layout, color and the latest design tools

Integrated Project Manager (Contract)

The Integrated Project Manager will be responsible for pushing along Creative Development and Post Production Agency work. They will have good experience in managing OOH, digital, print, and video production. Responsibilities (included but not limited to the following): 

- Ensures all necessary information is captured on briefs prior to project kick-off with internal teams
- Develops and manages comprehensive project schedules to meet deadlines and ensures those deadlines are met
- Point of contact for all key meetings: kick-offs, internal reviews, etc.
- Manage and maintain daily project status and delivery report(s)
- Partners with leadership to prioritize workload as needed to accommodate project delivery
- Implements processes to enable the success of a project from start to finish

Essential Job Functions:
- Receive briefs from 3rd party media agency for client advertising campaigns, brief creative teams, and resolve creative /client objective discrepancies.
- Understand common KPIs, conversions, and calculations required for digital ad campaigns.
- Ensure all campaign goals are met including start and end dates and communicating recommendations for optimizations.
- Work with advertisers / media vendors to verify technical specifications, brief and troubleshoot complex ad creative that involves elements such as rich media and video.
- Work with advertisers and sales staff to ensure compliance with site ad guidelines and specs.
- Intake briefs from media agency / IAT partners and synthesizes them into comprehensive creative briefs back to internal creative teams, ensuring all client criteria and objectives are outlined in a clear and concise way so that the creative / production teams are set up for success in agency’s response.

 
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of integrated project management and ad operations experience at a relevant brand or media / advertising agency
- Experience using resource/project management tools in a work environment 
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Comprehensive and deep knowledge of advertising projects and processes (linear TV, digital, OOH, social & print)
- Demonstrated competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large-scale projects with various stakeholders 
- Ability to organize information and concisely present issues, recommendations and conclusions 
- Superior written and verbal communication 
- Strong attention to detail 
- Strong problem-solving skills
