To design and produce a one-of-a-kind experience for Spotify and Hulu at Cannes Lion 2018, MATTE was enlisted by Hunt and Gather for its original creative approach. With a brief to inspire guest’s discovery through spatial design, MATTE proposed a concept that celebrated the natural landscape of Cannes and the chateau's unique architecture. Branding was incorporated so as not to overwhelm the design, but rather appear naturally integrated with touches of sleek CNC logos and sizzles from Hulu and Spotify streamed at the TV installation.
From guest transport to the branded entryway and stage design, each element of the guest experience was considered to create an intimate networking environment for the brands’ guestlist of creators, artists and innovators. The stage in particular was fabricated specially to accommodate special guest, Miguel, and the brand’s exclusive panel discussion featuring God is Rivera, Miguel, Samira Wiley, Ramy Youssef and Jessie Ware.
