After the pandemic, it feels like any excuse is a good one. So it didn’t take much convincing for us to take a mid-March sojourn to Austin, survey the latest musical talent, and indulge in a few frozen Irish coffees at Nickel City. So off we went this past week to see if SXSW had returned to its former glory.

The answer wasn’t so straight forward. While this year was a notably mutated affair - without a round-the-block line or Doritos stage in sight - the crowd felt decidedly more intimate and mature. Did we spend more time in Lolo's drinking weird wine than we expected? Yes. Did we also see one of the best live shows 

 than any other year? Also yes.
