MATTE took over the sprawling halls of Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner to host our annual BLACK NYC Event, providing guests with another unforgettable synthesis of underground music and contemporary installation art.
MATTE brought together a cadre of genre-pushing musicians, including perennial number one DJ in the world Dixon, DJ Hell, Barnt, Gaika, Veronica Vasicka, Jubilee, NOLIFE, and Masha. In addition to musical performances, guests were exposed to installation pieces by Mexico’s COCOLAB, Tavares Strachan, New York Sunshine, Symrin, Chawla, and Folie À Plusieurs
