In support of the Marquee boost shoe launch, MATTE carefully concepted, produced and executed a marketing campaign inclusive of content, limited edition trading cards, sweepstakes, hotline, and exclusive merch and experience gifting.

All elements of the campaign worked harmoniously to bring to life the prolific ’90s hoopers culture.


Trading card packs featured the adidas basketball roster in updated fashion, crafted by today’s rising artists Malik Roberts and Tyson Beck.

Each pack included a chance to win product and experiences.


Offered exclusively for a limited time at the adidas SoHo store, entrants could score their free trading card pack simply by trying on a pair of Marquee Boosts.


Responsive to calls and texts, our custom hotline, 1-833-MABOOST drove users to the SoHo store to claim their trading cards. Users outside of NY were able to input their zip codes triggering a response with information on the nearest adidas store location to them.

In addition, we produced, shot and edited a teaser infomercial that illuminated ’90s commercial nostalgia featuring the Marquee Boost and trading cards.

Marquee Boost launch hype continued through a surprise gifting activation in Canarsie, Brooklyn for the Southshore High School Men’s and Women’s basketball teams.

The teams received a secret video message from Kristaps Porzingis as well as Marquee Boosts and custom colored adidas basketball training gear.
