On September 10th, Alexander Wang turned a dead-end street in Bushwick, Brooklyn into a wild #wangfest runway for the reveal of his RTW Spring 2018 collection. Determined to make his party-runway an interactive form of art, Wang opened his show to the public as celebs, retailers, and numerous fans stood on the sidewalks watching models walk out from a party bus and down the pavements of Brooklyn.
MATTE was hired to capture and produce the videography aspect of the event, delivering a full-recap edit and social media cuts with a 24 hours turnaround. We also operated a live-stream of the entire event across three pop-up runway locations, overlaying live effects and responsive graphics that transformed the footage into an immersive experience for over 80K live viewers.
MATTE captured 3D gifs of each model's debut on film, which were developed, scanned, and shared in time for them to post on their own channels that evening.
